Backports of core Android packages (version 10.0.0+r36) mainly for adb.

*** Install ***

Notes for Xenial & Bionic: Newer adb (from android-platform-system-core) requires GCC >= 9 (Xenial default is 5.4.0, Bionic is 7.5.0). Two PPAs are available at this Launchpad site with GCC 9.5.0 (backport of jammy-updates package). Firstly there is a PPA that has required GCC 9.5.0 binaries only and secondly a PPA that will set GCC 9.5.0 as system default GCC version:

  sudo add-apt-repository ppa:savoury1/gcc-9

OR

  sudo add-apt-repository ppa:savoury1/gcc-defaults-9

THEN

  sudo apt-get update
  sudo apt-get install adb

*** Build ***

This PPA has build dependencies on:

  ppa:savoury1/build-tools
  ppa:savoury1/backports

Additionally for Xenial, Bionic, and Focal builds:

  ppa:savoury1/llvm-defaults-11

Additional for Xenial and Bionic builds only:

  ppa:savoury1/haskell-build
  ppa:savoury1/gcc-defaults-9

Android packages here were built with GCC 9.3.0 (builds fail with GCC < 9) and GCC 9.3.0 (Focal default) is the version used for builds at this site.
