My 'computer history' goes back to the golden era of home computers (zx, c64, amstrad, ti/4a),
After finishing high school i enrolled in a comp.science/mathematics joint honours degree at Keele university in the uk. I worked for approx five years as a c++ programmer mainly on networking related eu projects in algosystems/algonet. During those years i got acquainted somewhat with java. Following that i had a very short shot on game development on a MMOG project in Razorwax/Aventurine which hasn't been completed as of yet. Since 2003 i discovered the wonderful projects of freebsd, and openbsd, and used those systems extensively. I still use an openbsd system as a firewall/web cache proxy/nat gateway in my home LAN. From then on after trying out several Linux ditros which i didn't seem to like for one reason or another i really appreciated the debian system and mainly its package management mechanism, as well as its consistent policy. Then i got to know ubuntu and i was hooked. I use it both in my desktop and my laptop system. I enjoy to maintain all these systems myself. Lately i'm learning python, and trying to get my administration skills more clever and effective. Other than that, i enjoy music (both as a listener and as a performer, reading and playing computer games with my little two year old devil :-).I'm currently unemployed.
