PPA description
This PPA provides the grok regular expression based text parsing utility, by Jordan Sissel
http://code.google.com/p/semicomplete/wiki/Grok
All I have done is packaged this program up for Ubuntu (and Debian) and uploaded to launchpad. No changes were made to the grok source code whatsoever.
