I'm new to Launchpad as of 20-Oct-05. I was drawn here by Ubuntu.

My current project is to make a website that's suitable for my parents (maybe yours too) to help them understand the internet and/or get over their internetphobia - http://www.SpectralDesign.Net - It has a long way to go before I'll be happy with it, if you feel like checking it out and giving me feedback, I'd consider it invaluable.

I hope that one of these days I'll have the space/time to setup another PC running only Linux, but as a single-PC family I need to stick with Windows for now to keep the wife and son happy.

For now, I do most my development in Cygwin, which can be a slow application, but at least it's good ol' familiar *nix!

(Update, 22 October, I'm now dual-booting with Ubuntu, but the wife doesn't like how long it takes to reboot into Windows so I'll be using both Ubuntu *and* Cygwin for now.)
