VLC Daily Build of stable branch
PPA description
This package archive contains daily builds made from the last stable branch of the VLC media player.
This package archive is intended for testing the build process and bug fixes in impending stable releases of VLC, with view to integration into Ubuntu through stable via either the Stable Release Updates (SRU), or security updates.
You will NOT find major version updates in this archive, such as from 2.2.x to 3.0.x. If you want a newer major version of VLC, you can use:
- the master-daily archive:
https:/
- the VideoLAN.org Snap packages:
https:/
- or build VLC from source manually.
Beware that the builds are fully automated, and do not go through any quality assurance whatsoever. Functional regressions and build are relatively rare but they do happen.
Please report build breakages to the Debian/Ubuntu multimedia team.
The VideoLAN developers do not have access to the build system.
Adding this PPA to your system
You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:videolan/stable-daily to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:videolan/stable-daily
sudo apt update
