PPA description

*** This is an obsolete PPA for primus since the packages are now provided by the Bumblebee PPA ***
(You can still use it at your own risk though but it will probably be less stable)

PPA for Ubuntu packages of primus, a low-overhead local-only client-side OpenGL offloading through GLX forking library, similar to VirtualGL.

The project is bundled in two packages: primus and primus-lib. The first one contains a 'primusrun' script to run programs on the discrete nVidia card instead of integrated Intel card on notebooks with nVidia Optimus. The second one contains a shared library needed for this. To get support for running 32-bit applications with primus on 64-bit systems please install a 'primus-lib:i386' package as well (don't install 'primus:i386').

You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:zhurikhin/primus to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing)
