Need development files for libftdi (there is libftdi but no libftdi-dev)

@Kurtis - Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric) has "libftdi-dev" in it. What version are you looking at? Do you have "sources" enabled in Synaptic Package Manager?

I use 12.04
Sorry, I'm a little bit confused, because Synaptic doesn't show libftdi available, but apt-cache indicates that this package is available (and I can install it)

libftdi-dev is available from the 12.04 main repository, see http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/libftdi-dev
