Bug Description

When attempting to upgrade install feisty on my existing edgy laptop x86 system, by using the live cd installer:

Fujitsu st4110p, 20g ide hard drive.

selecting the default option (resize original ext3 partition and install in additional partition) the partitioner continuously displays a 'disk too small' pop-up. Selecting OK or cancel or any option just makes the pop-up reappear.

The only way to terminate this is to shut down the machine or kill the installer manually.

Selecting the overwrite exiting partitions option, it works, but never finds my existing user account on the old partition.

Note that the original partition had less than 2g of data in it when i tried to upgrade.

The original partition was created by a edgy default install.
