Bug Description
7.04 amd64 beta livecd fails to boot with the default splash screen option. The sytsem completely hangs early in the boot process where ctrl-alt-delete or alt-prntscn-b does not reboot unless I edit the boot options to specify nosplash. As long as I specify nosplash everything works great. I have an AMD Athlon64 3200+ with an ATI x850 video card and a gig of ram.

Tested with the i386 build and this was not an issue there, so it looks like this is amd64 specific.
