kernel panic booting the edubuntu amd64 dvd

Bug Description

[information still incomplete]

seen a kernel panic booting the edubuntu amd64 dvd, which goes away when removing the splash option. I don't see anything on the console, just two blinking leds on the keyboard.

trying with an i386 dvd, and trying to use a serial console.

Do you have anything more to add to this bug? This was the final Feisty version of Edubuntu right?
