Are you still working on this? I don't know if you can achieve this as a packager, but gnome in jaunty now has a really nice looking effect when changing wallpapers. It would be really nice if webilder would use that too (maybe it does this automatically, I haven't tried yet).

I can confirm that "the really nice looking effect when changing wallpapers" is active in jaunty. i'm still packaging it, I need to write man page and it should be okay
