fields for entering a branch should just let you paste a url

Bug Description
If I want to associate a new branch with a bug I click 'add branch' then need to
- realize that i can't add a new branch from here
- click the code tab
- click add branch
- fill in the form
- go back to the bug and add a branch
- search for the id i just created
It would be nice if I could eg enter the url directly on the 'add branch to bug' page, and then maybe be prompted for other fields. This is probably a common way to add a new branch.

I think we should bump up the priority of this bug. It also bites when associating a branch with a series: entering the url is the obvious thing to do, and it's actually pretty hard to discover that you need to separately register a branch before we can link it here. Also it's been duped twice.
