Your hard drive appears to be dying. Please try running a SMART test on the drive or replace the hard drive. If the test turns up negative, or if you replace the drive, feel free to reopen the bug, until then, I'm marking this as invalid.

Please also note that newer versions of the installer are able to handle this problem more gracefully.
