Bug Description

Binary package hint: update-manager

When upgrading from VMWAre Server 1.02 to 1.03 the upgrade manager overwrites virtual network settings.

These have to be re set up using vmware-config-network.pl

Also, changes to netservices.sh are lost- this has to be altered to turn off the dhcp server on the host only network.

This issue has not gone away but the vmware server packages in the
feisty repositories are not being updated, nor is there a gutsy
version at all.

There are two alternatives that I can see:
 - Address this issue as part of providing updated packages.
 - Remove vmware server from the ubuntu repositories (anyone using
gutsy has to install it manually anyway).

I was unable to find VMWare server in the ubuntu repositories for hardy heron suggesting it has been removed. Thus rendering this bug obsolete. Feel free to re-open this bug if this is still a problem
