Bug Description

SInce the upgrade to raring the keyring daemon is not working properly.
Symptoms include:

* keyring-daemon hogging the CPU for hours on end
* I'm being asked for ssh-key passphrases all the time
* networkmanager-openvpn also keeps asking for my VPN password

thank you for your bug report, do you have any error about it in .xsession-errors? could you use gdb to get a stacktrace while it's eating cpu (or use strace to see what it's doing)?

So, the gnome-keyring-daemon starts to hog the CPU once I'm starting chrome.
My .xsession-errors is attached.

seems like you might have a buggy application that keeps writing to the keyring, do you see keyring calls going over dbus if you run dbus-monitor --session?

Not quite sure whether it is the identical problem but the gnome constantly asks for passwords for the vpn, some wifi networks and so on. It also fails to connect to online accounts.

Adding to post #8:

Apparently affects also 'duplicity'. The Gnome BackUp tool keeps stuck in 'Preparing...' it apparently cannot pass the password to my backup files.
