Bug Description
i installed Feisty in my new Seagate Barracuda SATA hard drive .
instalation worked like charm , but when i restarted the system ,
intel boot agent (intel 945 motherboard ) was not able to boot Ubuntu from hard disk(though it is very much configured in the bios).
i used "Boot from hard disk" in Ubuntu Live CD(Feisty) to boot from local hard drive.
i am very sorry i didnt copy the dmesg :(.
so i had to install WinXP and dual boot Feisty(i never wanted to do this).
as far as i know WinXP creates a boot partition and boot.ini file that could be used by the intel boot agent to locate the bootable OS.
doesnt Ubuntu do this ?

not sure if this would help, but try this:
If you can, in your BIOS settings,
set SATA mode from 'AHCI' (something similar) to 'compatible' , then try to boot.
