All Ubuntu patches has been applied upstream:
* Add support for looking for an APM battery (has been merged into Debian)
* Check that '/dev/mem' is readable before running 'dmidecode' (has been merged into Debian)
* Fix the DMI check so that it actually works (has been merged into Debian)
as well as the proposed Ubuntu patches in bug #40503 and bug #91447:
* laptop-detect.in: Load battery module before probing for acpi batteries. (has been merged into Debian)
* Add versioned dependency to dmidecode 2.8-2 since we use chassis-type. (has been merged into Debian)
