Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.15 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

I just tested the daily upstram kernel, and before I tested v3.15-rc1, but both are not working.

The but exists in upstream kernel.

kernel in #19 disabled MSI of RTL8188EE, which means Bug #1296591 introduced a regression.

let's fallback to pin-based mode until the rtlwifi's msi support get good compatibility.

This bug is awaiting verification that the kernel in -proposed solves the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed-trusty' to 'verification-done-trusty'.

If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed.

See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Thank you!

@newuser, could you please do the verification as #26? Thanks.

This issue only happens on some very certain system such as @newuser 's

Set to 'verification-done-trusty' since I did some regression test on system with rtl8188ee and @newuser 's machine works well with my kernel on #19 which does the same thing on rtl8188ee as -proposed kernel.

Tips for RTL8188EE [10ec:8179] and RTL8723BE [10ec:b723] users: those hardware modules have MSI compatibility issue, on some certain platforms they work fine with MSI but break connections without MSI, on some other certain platforms it's opposite. You could try to toggle its module parameter "msi"
