Bug Description

I did an Swedish translation of Gufw 14.10 and found some strings you might wanna have a look at.

* When changing the string "Well, the behaviour is such that when you change or import a profile, or when you edit a rule, Gufw readds that rule, then ufw readds for IPv4 and IPv6." the gui still shows the untranslated string. Also, readds seems wrong.

* msgid "Sacred - ports 2005L2008" should probaly be : instead of L

* In the dialog "About" the buttons Credit, License and Close aren't translatable

I'll post more of them here if I find any!

* If already have started an instance of Gufw, and try to start another, a dialog will popup saying something like: Please, just one gufw instance bla bla. Gufw is already running etc. The dialog isn't translatable.

Hi Josef. Thanks a lot for the review!!! ;D
Are you in Ubuntu 14.10?

TYPO 1:
"then ufw readds for IPv4 and IPv6."
changed to:
"then ufw re-adds that rule for IPv4 and IPv6."

Uhm... You have to see it in your language :O Maybe there is a hidden problem, could you try to run Gufw from a Terminal? with just:
gufw

TYPO 2: "Sacred - ports 2005L2008": Fixed.

TYPO 3: "Credit, License and Close". This is from GTK library :O Another sudo programs (like gparted) must to have this problem too.

TYPO 4: "Please, just one gufw instance": Fixed. I'll review this change, because I have to install the last Ubuntu version yet.

Cheers!

Tried that and didn't see anything special. Also peeked into to the source code, and the lines in the po-file and the code is matching. #: ../gufw/view/gufw.py:309 .Strange!

Another request that would ease for the translators in the future. Could you split up the "rule(s"-strings into singular and plural strings? It's hard to translate it good otherwise. In Swedish It would translate to singular ”regel" and plural ”regler" - the construction ”reg(el|ler)” could work in Swedish then - but it demands that the reader knows that | is OR.:)

Thanks!:)

Hi Josef,

TYPO 1: I found this problem in Spanish too. I have to review it. New bug for this: #1375957

TYPO 2: "Sacred - ports 2005L2008": Fixed.

TYPO 3: "Credit, License and Close". A no Gufw translation (It's a GTK translation).

TYPO 4: New bug #1375010 just for cheking.

About the plural, I'm so sorry, but sometimes I don't know how many rules are the user adding/removing. Could you translate it just as plural? (forget the singular).

Cheers!

Thanks, I'm happy then. Cheers!

About the plural - Yes, that'll be fine, already did:)

About TYPO 3 - Generalt GTK Dialog. Seems to be a general bug in 14.10 I've tested and reported it here with some examples. -> https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1375979

Hi Josef! I found the problem with the TYPO1 that appears in English :)

You translated it:
https://translations.launchpad.net/gui-ufw/gufw-14.10/+pots/gufw/sv/912/+translate

But the template & translation are older (Lines 3903-3908):
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~costales/gui-ufw/gufw-14.10/view/head:/po/sv.po

Why is this?
Because I have to export the translations to branch. I do this just before
a release.

Then, how could you test it?
Download your translation in PO format:
https://translations.launchpad.net/gui-ufw/gufw-14.10/+pots/gufw/sv/+export
bzr branch lp:gui-ufw
Overwrite the file gui-ufw/po/sv.po with the file you'll receive in your
email from Launchpad.
sudo python setup.py install --prefix=/usr ; sudo gufw
You have to see all in your language ;) Could you confirm me that it is
working for you? :) Thanks in advance!

Cheers!
Costales.
