update-manager says theres a new release to upgrade, but then fails to find it to install

Bug Description
When doing a upgrade test for the xubuntu 32 bit net install for 14.10, after enabling "for any new version" in the sources settings and using the main ubuntu servers i get the manager saying i am up to date with my system but there is a new release to be installed, when choosing to do so the terminal dump shows:

Comprobar si hay una nueva versión de Ubuntu
No se ha encontrado ninguna edición nueva
last two lines say "checking if there is a new version of ubuntu" and then "no new version has been found" this is false as the previous screen did found a new release, see attached screenshot
