Bug Description

DMA is not automatically enabled for DVD (/dev/hdc), this causes skips on DVD
playback
-It is enabled for the hard disk
-It is enabled in Warty's 2.6.8.1 kernel and 2.6.10 on other linux distributions
(among them Debian)
-I can turn it on manually with hdparm and it works fine.
-This affects (at least) 2.6.10-k7-3 to -5

Chipset: KT400 on motherboard: Gigabyte GA-7VAX
I'm attaching the output of dmesg.

Same here, it also affects the x86 kernels/systems. I have been testing many of
this installation CD's and every time I do an installtion I have to turn on DMA
for /dev/hdc, my DVD drive. My DVD drive is a Pioneer DVD-R 108, DVD+/-RW DL.
