Here are the fresh new Debian packages of FreeMind 0.8.0.
You can download the files from here or put the following lines in your /etc/apt/
deb http://
deb-src http://
Then call as root 'apt-get update' followed by
'apt-get install freemind/
(the plugins are of course optional).
Dependencies: contrib/ unstable share/java/ jhall.jar
- libforms-java can be downloaded from here or from the above repository.
- libjcalendar-java is available in Debian/
- if you want to use the 'help' plugin, you'll need to download JavaHelp
from Sun's Java site and install the jar file as /usr/local/
- all other dependencies are available from Debian/stable and above.
You can find more information and help under the URL: freemind. sourceforge. net/wiki/ index.php/ FreeMind_ on_Linux
http://
(especially how to package Sun's Java the Debian way)
But first of all: have fun!
Eric L.
Changes:
Well, all changes listed for FreeMind, of course.
In terms of packaging, roughly:
- FreeMind is dependent on a lot more packages
- Added the plugins packages, removed the browser one
- went for the cdbs packaging system (it's OK if you don't understand this one).
