"Download updates while installing" greyed out even when connected to internet

Bug Description

After entering my WIFI password and being connected to the Internet, the option to download updates while installing is grayed out.

Obviously, i am connected to Internet since i can file this report from the machine in question.

It appears it proceeds to download updates anyway. However, later on the installation process crashed.

Hi Set,

I just tried this on my laptop (latest Yakkety release candidate), once running on battery, and once plugged in. I didn't see this issue.

Maybe it has been fixed since your test. I couldn't see anything in the ubiquity changelog, but the problem could have been somewhere else.

You didn't report it on the previous release candidate. Do you still see it? Anyone else see it?

same thing (greyed out install updates during installation ) happened to me during install, both with wifi and with ethernet.
Important as I cannot connect now to wifi ( sees transmitters but will not connect ) because I hoped during ethernet install it would correct and replace any bad drivers.
