Bug Description

I was booting Ubuntu 7.10 LiveCD and choosing "Swedish" by pressing "F2" at boot, but Ubuntu shows up in a mix of Swedish and English.
An example is the menu titles in English language but the menu items in Swedish language and Firefox is entirely in english.

After running the installation and choosing Swedish at the installation prompt, the installed version shows the same mix of Swedish and English.

My workaround was to install the following packages:
language-support-sv
language-pack-sv
language-pack-sv-base
language-pack-gnome-sv
language-pack-gnome-sv-base

I think these packages should be installed by default because I selected to install Ubuntu in Swedish.

In Ubuntu 9.04 Live CD when you change to some languages with F2 the third option of the menu (Check disc for defects) remains in English.

I can confirm the reporters issue that the desktop on the Live CD is mainly in English. This is an easy to see problem, so will mark it Triaged.

The current idea from the installer team has been that language support will always get installed during installation or after installation (depending on when Internet connection is available). However, it means that the live CD sessions are always in English except for the (very) few languages that are included on the CD.

Just clarifying. Language-specific remixes like Nordic Remix and Finnish Remix are known to have been done to improve the live CD experience as needed.
