Bug Description
I own a Nec 16x DVD recorder, which perfectly works under (sigh!) windows.
When I use it with ubuntu/kubuntu (for exapmle with K3B), the DMA transfer mode
disables automatically; I turn it on again with hdparm -d1 but then it disables
again.
The recorder is at the moment sec/sla.
Here is the hdparm output.
marco@ubuntu:~$ hdparm /dev/hdd
/dev/hdd:
IO_support = 1 (32-bit)
unmaskirq = 1 (on)
using_dma = 0 (off)
keepsettings = 0 (off)
readonly = 0 (off)
readahead = 256 (on)
Regards.
Marco
