Bug Description

I am using wengophone version 2.1.2.dfsg0-2 on Hardy daily-live 20071211, amd64.
When I start wengophone and use it a while, for exampe doing two or three test calls, it crashes with 'Aborted (core dumped)', the exact output of the console follows. If that info is helpful: I am behind a proxy, tunneling over port 443 (using advanced configuration).

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a ".crash" file. Please follow these instuctions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer.

If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit.
If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using "/usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash" in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. (the crash report should have wengophone in the name)

I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding. If you can not find the file, please open this bug again and change the status to New

Thanks for the info. But unfortunately, wengophone doesn't create a crash report and I couldn't find the 'report a problem' option. Also, the crash report application ignores my proxy settings so it cannot even upload a crash report when one is created.

If you are able to generate a crash report locally, but apport cannot upload, please attach the report to the bug, as it likely contains information that would explain the cause of the crash.

Sorry, but wengophone has never created a crash report as other applications do. Also, wengophone-dbgsym is an older version than wengophone and therefore not installable. But I installed wengophone-dbg and here is the backtrace, following the steps from the wiki.

With all updates until today applied, Wengophone seems to work again. So I think it was a problem of Alsa, maybe similar to Bug #162701. As now everything works over pulseaudio, it works.
