Resuming from suspend fails both with Intel and I810 video driver.

In Detail:
a. By default the Intel driver has been selected for my X. when i suspend and resume it gives me a blank screen.
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Debugging#head-0b6e9c6b60fa07cda4013a1c51239f1c14c4f89d
with the above link ref. adding "acpi_sleep=s3_bios,s3_mode" boot parameter makes me below
suspend OK
resume OK
suspend fails

at random case it may suspend second time but will not resume then.

b. changed the driver to i810 mudule using the dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
In this case it resume but while resuming it stops with a kernel panic. attached pciture for ref.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
If it still happens with Hardy please attach a current /var/log/Xorg.0.log and the /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old the start after the failed resume. Please don't use the i810 driver anymore since it is deprecated and won't get fixed. Thanks in advance.
