bug present in alpha 3,4,5

Cisco 350 wifi PCcard does not appear in iwconfig/ifconfig
Kernel module does not complete activation, although correct module (airo) is loaded

dmesg shows airo module getting as far as 'doing fast BAP reads" but MAC address is never assigned, hence interface (eg wifi0) is not present or activated.

[38832.937846] pcmcia: registering new device pcmcia1.0
[38833.724096] airo(): Probing for PCI adapters
[38833.724168] airo(): Finished probing for PCI adapters
[29127.268853] airo(): cmd:111 status:7f11 rsp0:2 rsp1:0 rsp2:0
[29127.268868] airo(): Doing fast bap_reads

>>>at this point the MAC address should be assigned but nothing more is output

I tried with the same results on result on 3 separate laptops, Pentium ll, ll, and lV.

Actual card is Cisco PCM350 firmware version 5.2.20 though I also tried with other firmware version with same result

I stared with Feisty clean install, worked fine.

Dist-Upgraded to Gutsy, still working.

Dist-Upgraded to Hardy, broken.

I am running Hardy with both an upgrade and a fresh install on an IBM TP T40 with a Cisco MPI350.

Also, of note that inserting the module does not turn on the wireless card (or at least the LED for the wireless card).

Confirm - same behavior IBM T-40 did dist-upgrade to Hardy last night, now no wireless. dmesg Identical to original report, except pcmcia: registering new device pcmcia0.0 instead of pcmcia1.0
