Breezy : DVD-RAM freeze

Bug Description

When using hdparm.conf (/hdc & /hdd to dma ), my /hdd dvd-ram driver is
freezing. Can't be found by graveman and trying to do sudo hdparm /dev/hdd is
not working (run endlessy). Erasing hdparm.conf, and using the command in a
terminal work fine.

DMA is not reliably supported on all CD/DVD-ROM devices; that's why it isn't
enabled by default

I understand that DMA is not reliable on evry CD/DVD-ROM, but I don't understand
why it is not working using hdparm.conf and working perfectly when using the
hdparm command ! Same prob since Warty :(
