update sais 3 broken packages together with the report:E: /var/cache/apt/archives/linux-image-2.6.24-15-generic_2.6.24-15.26_i386.deb: faild in buffer_write(fd) (10, ret=-1)

 linux image 2.6.24.14-generic appeares twice in the upgrade menu...

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You log files indicate that you have run out of space in your '/boot' partition. (/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.24-14-generic«: No space left on device). Could you please confirm that and trying removing an older kernel version via synaptic? Thanks in advance.

yes sorry to bother you. i realised my stupid mistake later on. my boot
partition was only 20 mb, so i had no chance to do an update. i forgot
to report that...

btw: maybe it could be useful to let ubuntu tell you during the
installation that it is quite stupid to have a boot partition that is
not big enough for at least 2 kernels...that would have saved me from
setting up a new partition :-)
