Bug Description

In Hardy: If I have the desktop effects turned on, when I wake the laptop after I suspend it, the password dialog is invisible and a white screen is displayed instead. Typing the password and pressing Enter brings back the desktop though.

This is on a Dell XPS M1330 with an nVidia Corporation GeForce 8400M GS (rev a1) video card.

Also seen on Samsung X65 with nVidia GeForce 860M GS (rev a1).

As the visual effects are not available without the restricted driver and the problem only exists with visual effect enabled it isn't possible to eliminate the restricted driver as the cause.
