Bug Description

Installing Ubuntu 8.04 Beta to my Dell Optiplex GX260 the mouse is unusable. Any attempt to move the cursor causes it to fly wildly across the screen.

I completed the install using the keyboard only, then corrected the entries that had not been set correctly during the install.

I also had a similar problem with 8.04 Alpha using the on board graphics card (Intel 845G).
