Bug Description

Binary package hint: pybackpack

I was backing up to my NAS device running Debian etch via ssh.

The program crashed when it realized that the rdiff-backup version numbers are not the same.

Ideally, it should fail gracefully, or try to use some sort of compatibility mode.

Yep that's a bug. I'll handle it upstream when I have some spare time. Setting to confirmed.

The fix is now in Ubuntu (Intrepid/8.10) so I'm closing this bug as fix released.
