Bug Description
Binary package hint: pybackpack
I was backing up to my NAS device running Debian etch via ssh.
The program crashed when it realized that the rdiff-backup version numbers are not the same.
Ideally, it should fail gracefully, or try to use some sort of compatibility mode.
