Bug Description

My Dell optiplex desktop crashes on resume from suspend.
my system: Ubuntu 8.04, latest updates on Friday 30 May (including kernel 2.6.24-17) .
If I reboot on kernel 2.6.24-16 resume works fine.

2.6.24-18 just came in...no good either. pc crashes on resume.

Hi Richard,

This looks like a duplicate of bug 226279 so I am marking it as such. It should be resolved with the upcoming 2.6.24-19 kernel which is currently in hardy-proposed. If you could test the -19 kernel and provide any feedback in bug 226279 that would be great. Thanks.
