I just closed my laptop to let it suspend, then i opened it up to resume it, i logged in, and i was waiting for network manager to connect to my network and then suddenly the computer just froze. I restarted, and checked kern.log and sure enough there was an error message.
Please note that i am using a compiled from source version of the madwifi drivers, specifically the madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6 branch as that version supports this laptops new atheros wireless chipset

The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel. There are one of two ways you should be able to test:
