This bug should get fixed upstream, though upstream is not very active
as at least there was nothing significant done the last 11 monts on
sf.net... maybe this package should just be removed?

Though it seems that there was no upstream bug opened about this issue
yet, so I filed 1474672 [1].

sf contains a patch about the 'RRD file version 0003' bug :

No, it shouldn't. The patch Robert gave isn't part of the cricket package in edgy, please apply it as cricket is pretty useless without it (you can only see the graphs not numerical values).
