On installation netbeans-ide tries to overwrite a file contained in netbeans package

Bug Description

Hello,

I have just tried installing both netbeans and netbeans-ide. I received this error:

dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/netbeans-ide_6.0.1+dfsg-1_all.deb (--unpack):
 trying to overwrite `/usr/share/applications/netbeans.desktop', which is also in package netbeans

Maybe this can be fixed by replacing netbeans.desktop with netbeans-ide.desktop in netbeans-ide package. Thanks for looking into this bug.

Hello,
why do you want them both?
As far as I know netbeans-ide and netbeans both install the same product - NetBeans IDE. The difference is that package netbeans-ide came from Debian/contrib whereas netbeans is originally from Ubuntu. There are plans to merge them in future.

Now I think netbeans package should set "Conflicts: netbeans-ide" so only one of them is allowed to be installed.

I don't. I hadn't used them before I tried to install them, so I
didn't know if they're the same. Anyway, it may be a little confusing,
so I think adding Conflicts line to debian/rules, as you suggest,
would be a good thing.
