Bug Description

Binary package hint: galculator

I wanted RPN, scientific functions and DEC/HEX/OCT/BIN - Galculator is great! I use reciprocal so frequently, that I don't want to pull down a user function. But wait! I have the source code! So now the CMP key does 1/x if I'm in DEC mode. Bitwise complement isn't meaningful in DEC mode, anyway. (This is galculator-1.3.1)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately I am unable to fully understand the requirement. We would be grateful if you could explain your "feature request" more clearly. Thank you once again for helping us.

Feature request summary: Add "1/x" function to primary key.

I use 1/x so frequently, I want it on a primary key. I only
use it in DEC mode, though, and I never(?) use it in HEX/OCT/BIN
modes. So an example patch file is attached.

It's crazy to me that this patch never made it upstream.

@seb128, maybe you can take a look and finally solve this in galculator?

Galculator has been basically unmaintained since 2015 you should probably search for an alternative software to use instead
