Bug Description

Binary package hint: synaptic

It's supposed to be fixed in bug #260739. It's not a regression but it wasn't correctly fixed.

May be it should wait we press enter, then show a window saying "searching..." with a "cancel" button.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Start synaptic.
2. Click the quick search text box and write "lib".

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? May you please try the same with Jaunty and comment back? Thanks in advance.
