Bug Description

I would be a nice idea to assign ksnapshot to the "Print Screen" key as a default shortcut.

First of all, if you don't know, ctrl+print screen already takes a screenshot and puts it in the clipboard. (see http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25556)

The benefit of using kscreenshot would be that you can then choose to save it in a variety of formats. The only other additional capability of kscreenshot is to take a shot of only part of the screen, but I don't see how this would work with a hotkey.

I think it's a potentially good idea, but it depends on what it involves. If ksnapshot has to launch every time you hit the key, it might be a bit slow (if you have a hotkey to take a screenshot, you expect it to be instant and I don't think this would be) and might interfere with other programs. For example, if I hit print screen for some reason during a game (I don't know what this would do normally), I don't want it to launch something and interfere.

I think the simple clipboard functionality currently in place is better for just "Print Screen" (which I guess currently does nothing), but kscreenshot might be nice for Ctrl+print screen, which currently takes a screenshot to the clipboard.

It would work better if ksnapshot was running in the background all the time, but I don't think that's such a good idea. A good implementation would be for the user to be able to hide ksnapshot to the system tray and have a hotkey to take a snapshot. I just realized that ksnapshot doesn't have this capability, but I think that's a different bug. That's definitely something the program should be able to do. I'll file it later.

In Dapper, I configured X11 to use evdev.
Ksnapshot is activated everytime I pressed the "Up cursor key".
I think this is actually evdev problem.
