upgrades of the system caused the twisted packages to be upgraded which seems to cause apt-proxy to crash and hang when an apt-get update is attempted.

Sorry, #29574 is a duplicate. I searched for apt-proxy and it told me no bugs were found!

Problem: missing dependency on python-twisted-web

Workaround: install python-twisted-web.

Heh, same here. Search for apt-proxy and twisted did not work, so I
filed #29867 and then found the other bug reports :(

Only a short additional: Intallation of python-twisted-web
is not enough. Apt-proxy starts with it, but fails to down
load any pkg, due to removal of the long deprepated arm()
methods.

Debian's 1.9.33 fixes this problem, and I've merged the ubuntu changes (as well as fixing a typo in debian/control). The debdiff from Debian's 1.9.33 to the proposed 1.9.33ubuntu1 is attached here. I built the package and it worked for me.

Only changelog updates:
1. add information of the UVF exception.
2. add the relevant Debain bug number of the dependency fix.
