Backports requests shouldn't be against the Ubuntu package, just backports. Watch Bug #269191 for when it's in Jaunty.

It's in Jaunty now. Someone needs to test this. It will need mlt and mlt++ backported too, at the very least.

I've tested the PPA package (kubuntu intrepid, kde 4.2) and works fine: I've tried some effects/transitions and I've exported the video in mp4/theora..it seems stable, but it crashed once: I've lost the log (sorry), but it was an issue related to alsa...
