Please sync digikam 2:0.10.0~beta2-1 from debian experimental

- Please add additional changelog entries the next time.
- What happens to this Ubuntu change: "Build-depend on renamed libkexiv2-3-dev and renamed libkdcraw3-dev"
- Seems that libkipi5-dev is missing in Ubuntu.

libkipi5-dev is now in Ubuntu, but this still needs to be a merge for
the Build-Depends changes.

Hi,

I mis-spoke, kdegraphics renamed the packages such that this package
would sync now. Someone from Kubuntu is testing the package on Jaunty.

For now this could be merged as https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/digikam-kde4. The definitive decision to move to the KDE4 version for Jaunty has not been taken yet. This either needs to wait or needs to be done as digikam-kde4. Unsubscribing UUS since there's no current sponsor action.

Currently it looks like that digikam 0.10 should fit into schedule of Jaunty according to release plan (which is more or less followed up to now):

If upstream can ensure us 0.10 will be ready in time I think it is a good idea to move digikam-kde4 to digikam ASAP to aggregate testing for upstream.

digikam does not currently install, because it conflicts with the dependencies of kdeplasma-addons
(libkexiv2-7 I think). I'd love to see digikam installable :)

actually, the dependency problem is this:

Some dependencies of libkipi0 are not satisfied:
  * libkipi0 depends on libkipi6

AND

Some dependencies of libkipi6 are not satisfied:
  * libkipi6 conflicts with libkipi0 [universe]

aptitude and apt-get won't let me install digikam, because it can't resolve the dependencies, and I can't compile digikam either (compiling with libkdcraw2-3 gives errors, libkdcraw2-7 compiles, but I can't view files...

I think this is a bug in the libkipi packaging that was recently
introduced. Please file a bug about libkipi0 not being installable on the
libkipi package.

Harold: Final release for 0.10 is 2009-03-08 - ie. well before the April release date for Jaunty.
