Bug Description

A new feature (-r flag) requiring a clean exit from the job (exit value 0)
before updating the timestamp.
This is advantageous for e.g. backups, which might require that succesful
completion is done each day.
If the job exits with non-zero exit value, the job is run again when
anacron starts next time.
Attached patch (to version 2.3-13) implements this feature.

Topi,

Thank you for taking the time to make Ubuntu better. Whenever posting an enhancement request like this we encourage the posting of these good, raw ideas in Ubuntu Brainstorm at [WWW] https://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/ where it can be discussed, voted by the community and reviewed by developers.

I will ask in the bugsquad channel that they set the status of this bug to "wishlist". Thanks again for contributing.

The correct place to suggest this feature enhancement would be to Debian; Ubuntu plans to replace anacron in the near term.
