Statusbar flashes between $url and "Done." hovering over links

Bug Description

Firefox is a web-browser used in Ubuntu.

When hovering over a link, normally the statusbar displays the target URL of the linked item. Firefox sometimes gets itself in a situation where it is constantly flashing between this URL and the string "Done.". "Done." wins the statusbar until the mouse is moved again.

Click a different tab, or switching away from the application and back again will fix it such that the hovered-over URL is readable normally again without being immediately obscured.

I don't have a reliable means to replicate this. It's just something that happens now and again, but I notice it about once per day.

I've seen this before but haven't noticed it in some time. It's almost 2 months since the report - does the bug still exist?

This happens for me on average once every few hours (maybe more often; I don't keep track). In my case, it manifests itself as the back button giving itself focus when I hover over a link in some cases. When I hover, the mouse pointer changes to the hand, then blinks back to the arrow. The URL disappears from the status bar, and the 'back' button gains focus. It cycles back and forth rapidly when I move my hovering mouse over the link. It stays as the arrow when I keep my mouse still over the link. The link still functions as a link.

Highly annoying.

Not sure if this is a similar behavior that is the same issue or a different issue; let me know if I should file a separate bug.
