All error information was transient during upgrade from 8.04 to 8.10.

Hi Peter,

Looking at your VarLogDistupgradeApttermlog.gz I noticed the error below which seems to indicate this is a duplicate of bug 193439. Could you provide the contents of your /boot/grub/default ? Thanks.
