unmounting disk via device notifier freezes desktop

Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase

as the summary says. when this happenes I can do a
killall plasma ; plasma
also the unmount was not performed. I'm not aware that any application had open files on the device but I forgot to check this.

which solves the problem, but it's not very nice.

I can confirm this issue using latest KDE 4.2.2 packages on Jaunty.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Mount any removable storage device (no optical storage media)
2. Open Dolphin or another app and got to that storage device
3. Try to unmount the device using the devicenotifier applet
-> Plasma freezes completly
Note that this doesn't occure with optical media.

KDE committed the fix for KDE 4.2.4 and KDE 4.3 beta2.
