Bug Description

Binary package hint: gajim

gajim appears to completely rewrite its configuration every time a chat window is closed, regardless of whether any configuration change has been made. This results in unnecessary disk activity and a potential for data loss as the method used for rewriting the configuration isn't posix safe (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gajim/+bug/349661).

The listed file modification is an attempt to make the configuration rewrite safer.

ProblemType: Bug

DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04

SourcePackage: gajim
Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic x86_64
