Binary package hint: gnome-themes-ubuntu

With the Dust Sand theme, no CPU speed is written next to the CPU when using "graphic and text" mode in the CPU Frequency Scaling monitor GNOME panel applet - a big grey space is shown instead

Hay, I found this problem is fix for theme 'Dust' already in Ubuntu 9.0(Final), but it still occur once I modify my theme to other themes like 'Elegant Brit'. So I want to know that is it a problem of CPU mon applet or the themes and what shall I do to solve this problem for my prefered themes ?Thanks a lot!

It's a theme problem. Check the gtkrc file.

I found the solution by modifying /usr/share/themes/Dust Sand/gtk-2.0/gtkrc

Here is the modification inside

# RSC: Fix for CPU frequency applet
style "applet-text" = "panel"
{
# fg[NORMAL] = @bg_color was the wrong piece
 fg[NORMAL] = @text_color # the correct color
}

widget_class "*CPUFreqApplet*" style:highest "applet-text"

In 10.10 maverick its still black. With dark theme is text unreadable. No option how chage color to any lighter fontcolor.
