[Jaunty Beta] usb-creator 0.1.15 results in no usable usb-stick

During this installation, once it brings up the command prompt and exits install, can you give us the output of 'sudo lspci -vv' and 'sudo lspci -vvn' from the Linux kernel. This will help us troubleshoot. Thanks in advance!

I tried usb-creator on 9.04 final to create a live 2GB stick with 1.2GB
persistence, and still get bad results:

1) the last percentage I saw, was something like 38%. After that usb-creator
stops and says everything is OK (!)
2) booting that stick only results in a busybox prompt. :-(

So live-booted 8.10 again, and used 8.10's usb-creator to write 9.04 iso
image to the 2 GB stick. That GUI goes all the way to 99/100%

BTW: the two loggings of 8.10 resp 9.04 show quite different values for the
parameter -p: 1190 versus 1292623872. It could be the -p parameter switched
from MBs to bytes, or it could a programming bug:

I don't know if this is still needed, and whether is was meant for me, but
if so: see the included files.

This is the output after usb-creator stopped at 37% completion, after it was
instructed to create a 1.2 GB persistent space on a 2GB flash drive.

Still the same problem on Karmic Alpha 3: usb-creator quits at 12 - 20%, says "Installation is complete. You may now reboot your computer with this USB thumb drive inserted to boot Ubuntu", with stdout output below.

And, again, with a small persistent size (only 0.45 GB on a 4GB stick), things seem to go OK (I still have to check the boot). See log below.

Remarkable: in the successful log there is a line with "/usr/share/usb-creator/install.py", which does not appear in the log of an unsuccessful usb-creator install.

So, if this is really the case:
1) you can see in the log whether things have gone OK by checking for /usr/share/usb-creator/install.py
2) the problem with the large persistent space is before or in /usr/share/usb-creator/install.py

Does usb-creator work for you in the current karmic release?
How about in Jaunty with the persistent option disabled?
